Abstract
O livro Theatre and the World – Performance and the Politicsof Culture, do autor indiano Rustom Bharucha, merece ser revisitado. Neste volume, primeiramente publicado em 1990, encontram-se reunidos diferentes artigos de Bharucha a respeito da temática do interculturalismo no teatro, escritos entre 1981 e 1989. Há uma edição posterior de 1993, com um novo prefácio, no qual o autor informa sobre sua crítica ao colonialismo cultural, ao etnocentrismo, à indiferença a uma ética da representação nas transações interculturais e à globalização. Afirma que indicará os níveis de apropriação em jogo no processo de intercâmbio intercultural, aparentemente altruísta.References
