Abstract
This text presents an analysis of the treatment given to the subject in 20 th century Linguistic since Saussure. The author compares the differences in the way of including subjectivity in Linguistic theories and in French Discourse Analysis (AD), calling our attention to the broadening that AD, with the consideration of the subject as affected by ideology and having an unconscious, realizes in the theorethical and methodological field of language studies.
