Abstract

The approach refers to the study of Information Management, in order to emphasize its relevance for the accessibility of information and the development and dissemination of knowledge in the different areas of knowledge. With regard to Information Science, there is a connection with the organization of knowledge, with the purpose of demonstrating the importance of the scientific indicators, collected, processed and presented in international literature available in the Electronic Journal of the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal
de Nível Superior (CAPES). In order to demonstrate the importance of scientific indicators in organizational performance, an international bibliographic survey is carried out, carrying out a detailed analysis of the information of the studies with notes on the scientific indicators versus information management, using the
literature in English and Spanish, describing the analysis of the selected Portfolio Library, the occurrence of researches in the area, the use of indicators, the users' view and their connection with the environment. The proposal focuses on the collection of data and information managed in this context in order to collaborate with the mapping of records in higher education institutions and scholars, helping to accelerate of organizational management.
