Abstract

There is a great challenge to be overcome by teachers in the classroom, especially in trying to instigate the investigative spirit in students. The teaching of geological content can often be disconnected from everyday reality, governed by complex theories and developments that can make the subject uninteresting and difficult to understand, especially when not directly applied to undergraduate Geology students.
