Resumo
O objetivo deste artigo é examinar a influência da mídia na percepção do medo do crime entre moradores do Distrito Federal brasileiro. O estudo explora a influência das características da audiência na relação entre a mídia e o medo do crime. Também analisamos o impacto de diferentes tipos de mídia (TV, jornais e redes sociais) sobre o medo do crime. Os resultados mostram que a influência da mídia sobre o medo do crime depende do tipo de mídia, devido às diferenças em seu conteúdo e às características da audiência.
