Resumen

Las investigaciones sobre los votantes brasileños han demostrado una disminución tanto del partidismo como de los sentimientos hacia los partidos políticos. En este escenario, ¿cómo persiste la identidad partidista? Evaluamos cómo los votantes coordinan su identificación a través de sentimientos intra e interpartidistas, argumentando que incluso cuando los votantes evalúan a su propio partido de manera menos positiva, su identificación persiste a través de sus sentimientos interpartidistas, que se han vuelto aún más negativos en los últimos años. Utilizando datos de los Estudios Electorales Brasileños (ESEB) entre 2002 y 2018, los resultados sugieren que, en los contextos electorales más recientes, los votantes partidistas están menos entusiasmados con los partidos políticos brasileños y la relación entre los sentimientos partidistas se ha fortalecido. Estos hallazgos indican que las
alternativas partidistas al petismo mantienen una identidad partidista basada en la estrategia del “menor de dos males”
