Resumo
Este artigo analisa a relação entre teoria social e política feminista. A autora aborda temas como: pós-modernismo, pós-estruturalismo, a nova política da noção de sujeito, as controvérsias colocadas ao feminismo a partir da crítica da política identitária e o fundamentalismo como política de exclusão. O texto finaliza com uma discussão sobre a materialidade ontológica fictícia do corpo e do sexo. Rejeitando críticas simplistas, a autora analisa essas categorias – corpo e sexo – como “lugares de poder”.
Abstract
Analyzing the relationship between social theory and feminist politics this article focuses on diverse issues: postmodernism, poststructuralism and a new politics of the subject, political controversies posed on feminism by a critic of identity politics and fundamentalism as an exclusion politics. The article ends discussing the fictive ontological materiality of body and sex. Rejecting simplistic criticisms the author analyzes these categories as “sites of power”.
