Resumo
A partir de uma experiência etnográfica no Japão, este artigo visa refletir sobre a condição das mulheres brasileiras na sociedade japonesa. Em um primeiro momento, resgato as experiências vividas e afecções do trabalho de campo, considerando a ação da norma na construção política do corpo. Em seguida, a partir de uma contextualização dos dados etnográficos, analiso a situação de dupla subordinação e o status da mulher migrante, como um corpo feminino e dissidente. E, por fim, mostro que a condição de subordinação aponta, contudo, para um novo devir.
