Abstract
Considering Foucault, this paper asks: today, what is the political potential of those monstrosities, mainly in their relations to gender and sexuality? It is based on the principle that construction of monstrosity todayinvolves regularities and dispersions in relation to previous discourses on monstrosity, gender and sexuality. We consider two U.S. reality shows: RuPaul's Drag Race and Dragula, and based on some statements we propose a discursive analysis of how drag queens challenge notions of gender and monstrosity through their lives and the assemblage of their appearances.
