Resumen
El artículo propone una discusión sobre las imbricaciones entre género y nación en Turquía, analizando cómo diferentes proyectos nacionales movilizan temas de género y producen discursos sobre feminidades y masculinidades que influyen en las políticas de género en el país. Sostenemos que las dicotomías rígidas entre los proyectos llamados 'progresistas' o 'atrasados' no se sostienen, dado que los supuestos de que el cuerpo y el comportamiento de las mujeres deben ser regulados y que la restricción de libertades y derechos puede justificarse en nombre de ( ine) igualdad de género y (ausencia o exceso de) libertad sexual son ampliamente compartidos en todo el país.
