A análise desenvolvida neste artigo procura explorar as relações de determinação entre capacitação inovativa, produtividade e propensão a investir das firmas brasileiras, com base num recorte intersetorial. Em contraste com análises que sugerem a maior relevância de um foco na esfera estritamente microeconômica das estratégias empresariais, assume-se em tal estudo que a ênfase nos padrões setoriais de adaptação é fundamental para o entendimento das articulações entre ritmo inovador, ganhos de produtividade e processo de investimento. O foco da análise é direcionado para o mapeamento da diversidade intersetorial dos padrões de ajustamento da indústria brasileira. O esforço de exploração analítica baseia-se na manipulação de microdados, a partir do cruzamento das informações de Pesquisas Anuais e da Pesquisa de Inovação Tecnológia (Pintec)/IBGE, com os registros de comércio exterior Secretaria de Comércio Exterior/Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior (Secex/ MDIC). Com base nas evidências coletadas, foi possível constatar a relevância do recorte metodológico baseado na distinção entre sistemas produtivos, percebendo-se entre os mesmos diferenças importantes na dinâmica de ajustamento e de criação de capacitações inovativas.
Abstract
The analysis developed throughout this paper aims to explore the relationship between technological capacity, productivity and propensity of Brazilian firms to make investments, based on an intersectorial perspective. Contrary to other analyses that suggest a greater focus strictly on the microeconomic sphere of entrepreneur strategies, this study assumes that the emphasis on sectorial patterns of adaptation is fundamental to understanding the articulation between the innovation rhythm, the productivity gains and the investment process. The focus of this analysis is directed towards mapping the intersectorial diversity of adjustment patterns of the Brazilian industry. These data include information from Annual Researches and Pintec/IBGE with external trade data from Secex/MDIC. Based on the collected evidence it is possible to corroborate the relevance of the methodological perspective based on the distinction between productive systems, stressing a number of relevant intersectorial differences in adjustment dynamics and innovative capacities.
