Resumo

Este artigo questiona a avaliação feita por Williamson da teoria dos direitos de propriedade como sendo basicamente equivocada, e procura demonstrar que não apenas as análises de direitos de propriedade e de custos de transação são complementares, mas também que a análise de direitos de propriedade pode ampliar significativamente a compreensão das fontes de custos de transação.

Abstract

This paper argue that Williamson’s appraisal of property rights theory is basically wrong, and it will try to show that not only property rights and transaction costs are essentially complementary, but also that property rights analysis may enlarge significantly the understanding of transaction costs’ sources.
