Resumo
O presente artigo elabora, a partir de Keynes, uma proposta de reformulação da ordem monetária internacional, de modo a diminuir os efeitos negativos da especulação cambial e a fomentar o crescimento econômico. O trabalho também examina criticamente propostas alternativas atualmente em debate e, particularmente, evidencia os limites da Taxa de Tobin
Abstract
The article presents a Keynes-based proposal of reform of the international monetary system. This reformed system would be able to curb currency speculation and to support economic growth. The paper also approaches, in a critical way, some of the alternative proposals currently under debate, particularly throwing evidence on the limits of the Tobin tax.
