Resumo

Grande parte da literatura sobre rotinas organizacionais foca na estabilidade e nas alterações das atividades operacionais das organizações. De forma complementar, este trabalho ressalta que as rotinas organizacionais também podem exercer influência sobre os processos de tomada de decisões de investimento das empresas que operam no segmento de Exploração e Produção (E&P) da indústria de óleo e gás. Sendo assim, foi construído um modelo empírico para mostrar como as rotinas organizacionais amparam os processos de tomada de decisões estratégicas de investimento em novos ativos de capital em ambiente de riscos e incertezas no segmento. Por fim, apresentam-se os principais macroprocessos (higher-level routines) utilizados no segmento de E&P.
