Abstract

Abstract

This article makes a short review of the US dollar standard era and its crisis. Summarizes the main proposals for the reordening of the international monetary system. If such proposals are analyzed in the light of the changes underwent by the international financial dinamics, it becomes evident that the debate is still insufficient to meet the challenges posed by an effective international monetary rearrangement.
