Interview with Profa. Dra. Marilda Aparecida de Menezes

Abstract

A scholar of the Brazilian rural and urban areas, Marilda Aparecida de Menezes is a Collaborating Professor in the Postgraduate Program in Human and Social Sciences at the Federal University of ABC and in the Doctorate in Social Sciences at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). She is also a CNPq level 1C researcher, and a retired professor at the Federal University of Campina Grande / Paraíba. In an article recently published by Prof. Dr. Jaime Santos Júnior, there is an enlightening summary of his trajectory. According to the author, there are two striking features in his intellectual path “the permanent exercise of dialogue with the different theoretical methodological approaches and the surveillance over the contexts / phenomena that demand research” (SANTOS JÚNIOR, 2020, p. 2).
