Abstract

This article aims to understand the policies associated with the criminalization and illegalization of the migratory movement on the Mexico-United States border. For this purpose, taking as theoretical reference the Criminology of the Border and critical security studies influenced by International Political Sociology, it analyzes, from primary and secondary sources, the policies of policing, detention, illegalization and discourses of in/security. We conclude that beyond a mere securitization process, such policies function as technologies of power and of production of subjectivities based on the association movement-crime.
