Resumo
A doença tem sido sempre um tema literário por excelência. As obras literárias permitem aprofundar aspectos da vida humana, como o fato de saber gerir emoções, elementos constitutivos importantes, por exemplo, da relação entre profissionais de saúde e pacientes. O grande escritor John Coetzee, Prêmio Nobel de Literatura em 2003, autor de romances memoráveis como Esperando os Bárbaros (2006), Desonra (2000), entre outros, em um de seus romances, Homem Lento (2007), aborda o tema do cuidado, o cuidado do outro.Referências
