Abstract
At the late nineteenth century, the cement production in the United States exceeded local needs, so the industry had opened itself to various proposals. It's encouraged the use of the new material in other countries as well as the use of simple machines to mold concrete blocks that looked alike stones. The advertising was very strong and its influence arrived to various continents: America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. Today we can find many buildings constructed with these blocks in Argentina, Andalucía, in the South Pacific, in the Caribe Islands, and another countries. This paper shows a vision about the theme.References
