Abstract
From 1910 up to 1940 the Buenos Aires´ Metropolitan Area went through a particular type of suburban growth, gathered round summer and week-end houses. The aim of this paper is to reflect over the agents concerned with the construction of these suburbs, particularly those involved in architectural building. From the investigation first results, it can be broadly recognized that most part of the images shaped over these suburbs came from a vague employ of picturesque design by a range of agents involved in the construction field: architects, engineers and developers.
