Abstract
The present article considers interpreting the plot of social, economic, political and environmental present interrelationships in the processes of transformation of the contemporary waterfronts, for which is taken as case of study the bank of the Metropolitan Area of Rosario, in Argentina. The same, although it has particular characteristics, is representative of the ongoing processes in other Latin-American banks. The used methodology consists of a critical - interpretive analysis of the transformations occurring in the last three decades, since it proposes to identify if these answer to operate in the global economic logic of capitalism or if the same ones are attentive to the genetic rules of the local area. It follows the fundamental role of the approach from a holistic perspective that addresses the regional marks of identity and relationships in the territory, in order to promote a higher quality of life for the entire population.
