Abstract

Sixteen years was made on consolidation of this proposal. In 1995, the “Centro Filial del Consejo de Monumentos Nacionales de Caldas”, made this proposal and has since made every effort to realize this idea in the region. The project has three bases: the values that you want to highlight the definition of the territory and its management. Its complexity, but also its great value lies in the essence of the landscape that is alive and changing and adapting to the times and in the many actors who have to intervene in the formulation of the proposal. This project is of great importance for the economic and social development in the region. The author has been part of the process from 1995 to date. He presents in this paper his view of the same, relying on the information resulting from research carried out by regional teams to build the final record submitted to UNESCO.
