Abstract
In 2018, a significant date was celebrated for anthropologists: one hundred and sixty years after the birth of Franz Uri Boas. Coincidentally, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, promulgated in 1948, turns seventy years old - a date to be remembered in all quarters of the planet. This article intend to pay homage to the anthropologist Franz Boas whose essays and articles revolutionized the Cultural Anthropology (and the Human Sciences), mainly, for the humanist contents.
