Resumo
O trabalho científico-filosófico de Ludwig Boltzmann, na segunda metade do Século XIX, e de seus seguidores filosóficos, Hans Reichenbach e Adolf Grünbaum, conduziu a uma conjunção dos conceitos de tempo (“direção" ou "anisotropia” do tempo), e de irreversibilidade física, revelando uma concepção filosófica reducionista, na qual uma propriedade do tempo (o tipo de ordem temporal) é derivada de uma propriedade dos processos físicos (o tipo de evolução da entropia). No presente artigo realizamos, a partir da concepção kantiana do tempo, uma distinção semântica entre os conceitos de tempo e de irreversibilidade, e nos propomos a elucidar o vínculo entre os dois conceitos, que se estabeleceria , segundo nossa hipótese, no nível pragmático, ou seja, na interação entre os agentes cognitivos portadores de esquemas temporais, e os ambientes em que atuam.
