Abstract

Cohon and Owen identify three problems with Hume’s argument to show that morality is not based on reason. We agree with them that Hume’s arguments are no tis such bad shape as they might seem. However, we disagree with them as to why the apparent problems in Hume’s arguments are not so serius as they appear, and raise a number of questions about their proposed solutions to these problems.
