Abstract
It is becoming habitual among us in Latin-America to call positivism the epistemological view according to which sciences represents the only form of knowledge, a view wich believes in the unity of scientific knowledge according to the modelo f natural Science and defends the superiority of Science to solve human problems. Positivism however does not coincide entirely with historical positivismo. Mario Bunge’s philosophical thought seems to represent clearly the so called posivitivism. This paper analyzes Bunge’s philosophy of Science and shows its diferences in relation to historical positivism
