Resumen
Este artigo trata de elucidar, em primeiro lugar, o modo como Kant concebe o papel das categorias no traslado dos conteúdos representacionais não conceituais — gerados causalmente em nosso contato sensível com os objetos materiais — ao domínio intencional. Em seguida, introduz a tese de que a determinação categorial dos intuídos implica a universalização virtual dos objetos da apreensão sensível. Por fim, o texto ocupase em demonstrar como, a partir daí, abre-se o espaço para a reflexão transcendental, no âmbito de cuja tópica tem lugar, de acordo com os títulos em que se enquadram os conceitos da reflexão, o exercício das comparações mediante as quais os conteúdos elementares da cognição intuitiva, já categorialmente determinados, adquirem universalidade, dando lugar à formação dos conceitos empíricos.
Abstract:
Firstly, this paper aims at explaining how Kant conceives the function of categories on the translation of non-conceptual representational contents — causally generated by our sensory contact with material objects — to the intentional domain. Secondly, it introduces the thesis according to which such categorical determination of intuitional contents implies the virtual universality of the objects of our sensuous apprehension. In the final section, the paper attempts at demonstrating how this move opens the space for the transcendental reflection, on the range of which topic and thanks to the use of which concepts, the mind makes the comparisons by which the already categorically determined elements of intuitive cognition acquire universality and thus allow the formation of empirical concepts.
