Abstract

This resource aims to disseminate the central ideas about gender, sexuality, race and social class discussed in “Foucault and queer theory”. In three distinct moments, this article approaches gender problems, discovers about the daily and post-secular social life marked in the social markers and, finally, traces considerations about the respect for the advancement of the discourses of gender, sexuality and religion based on a discussion line from Michel Foucault to Judith Butler. The dissemination of this theme is of great importance for the deepening and opening of new guidelines on queer studies related to various theories, including in relation to architectural practices and urban knowledge. Cities can and should be inclusive.
