Favela da Maré: a comunicação comunitária como geradora de mudança social

Abstract

The one of the works brings a case study on the vehicles of community communication in Favela da Maré. It is a study based on observation, interviews and analysis of vehicles and  their performance. The Maré favela, according to the 2010 Maré Census, is maintained by a group of 16 favelas with a population of approximately 140,000 residents. For a space that has historically always been important for all governments, community communication represents an important instrument of social mobilization for intervention in the lives of residents. The work will present a performance of the vehicles over the years, reinforcing the concepts of "generative communication" in the proposal of  community communication in perspective and the action for social change. The historical  trajectory with the new forms of social awareness that has been operating since the  pandemic, in March 2020.
