Steel city: senses about the digital in the urban space

Abstract

From the theoretical perspective of French Discourse Analysis, we will analyze how meanings about the digital are constructed in the daily life of the city and circulate from a set of urban scriptures. In these writings, a poetic way of enunciating the digital is produced, making it possible to perceive the support of sayings that are produced in response to the historical moment in which we find ourselves, crossed by the functioning of technology and by a certain immediacy. Based on the guiding question “How do subjects perceive digital in the daily life of the city?”, we will seek to frame the voices of subjects who are experiencing the network event, in order to produce a listening gesture about the meanings that circulate today about the digital in the urban space and constitute a saying about technology.
