Resumo
O objetivo deste artigo é revisar as influências eclesiológicas e teológicas que impulsionaram a origem e o desenvolvimento do modelo de igreja em células G-12. Além disso, o artigo analisa o branding do modelo G-12, refletindo a McDonaldização de muitas organizações eclesiásticas, em sua busca por eficiência, calculabilidade, previsibilidade e controle, para garantir sua expansão e globalização. A intenção é entender de que forma o modelo eclesiológico G-12 está influenciando atualmente o avanço da Nova Reforma Apostólica (NRA) em nível global. A título de discussão, são propostos três aspectos nos quais este modelo, distribuído como uma marca ao alcance de muitas igrejas, está contribuindo globalmente com o NRA. Esses aspectos são o desenvolvimento de redes de igrejas; a aceitação de estruturas teocráticas piramidais; e o poder político das igrejas em células por ter uma base de membros disciplinada e obediente.
