Resumo
O presente artigo tem como objetivo compreender as políticas associadas a criminalização e ilegalização do movimento migratório na fronteira México-Estados Unidos. Para tanto, tendo como referencial teórico a Criminologia das Fronteiras e os estudos críticos da segurança influenciados pela Sociologia Política Internacional, analisamos, a partir de fontes primárias e secundárias, as políticas de policiamento, detenção, ilegalização e os discursos de in/segurança. Concluímos que para além de um mero processo de securitização, tais políticas funcionam como tecnologias de poder e de produção de subjetividades a partir da associação movimento-crime.
