Resumen
La esperanza del sujeto revolucionario proletario, que prevaleció durante el siglo XX, se evaporó como resultado de las debilidades de las organizaciones sociales para hacer frente a múltiples crisis que proliferaron en el ambiente de posguerra, dejando en total incertidumbre la posibilidad de cambio revolucionario. Este documento examina el potencial de actores revolucionarios casi olvidados,
colectivamente organizados e involucrados deliberadamente en procesos de transformación social y productiva, con un reclamo legítimo de sus territorios, cuyas actividades los involucran en procesos para consolidar una estructura diferente de sociedad, en los márgenes del sistema capitalista global. Las comunidades campesinas e indígenas de las Américas se están reuniendo conscientemente para
reestructurar sus organizaciones y formas de gobierno, tomando el control de sus territorios que han reclamado por generaciones. También están reorganizando la producción para generar excedentes, reuniendo a sus miembros para aprovechar recursos subutilizados y para mejorar el nivel de vida y asegurar la conservación y restauración del medio ambiente. Estas comunidades no están operando de manera
aislada. Coordinan actividades, comparten información y crean alianzas. Cientos de millones de personas participan en estos movimientos, ocupando mucho más de una cuarta parte de la superficie terrestre del mundo. Estas condiciones representan un enorme potencial para innumerables formas de trasformación social y ecológica,consolidando mundos y sociedades post-capitalistas.
