Resumen
Este artículo tiene como objetivo discutir la literatura sobre la movilidad inducida por el cambio climático desde un enfoque histórico-estructuralista de la migración considerando las contribuciones de Wallerstein, Portes y otros autores. El objetivo principal es comprender cómo las condiciones socioeconómicas predisponentes difieren en el número de desplazados anuales debido a desastres climáticos en países desarrollados y en desarrollo. Para este propósito, se utilizarán los datos sobre el desplazamiento inducido por el cambio climático y los índices de vulnerabilidad y preparación en veinte países, para responder a la siguiente pregunta: ¿cuál es la situación de los países desarrollados y en desarrollo desde la perspectiva de la teoría histórico-estructuralista con respecto a desplazamiento inducido por el cambio climático?
