Abstract
In the history of discursive ideas, it is important in this text to pay tribute to M. Pêcheux to remember his founding question that is stamped in the title of this reflection and the many movements of search, understanding, explicitation, retakes and displacements produced by this author. The beginning of his reflections can be put in many of his scattered texts, but his book, AAD69 - the result of his thesis - is often taken as the founding level of Discourse Analysis, which he proposes. Here we present an exposition of what we consider to be important milestones in its reflection and in the constitution of this science.
