Abstract
The semantic and morphological difference of the words words "Indian" and "Indigenous" in Portuguese and French is examined in this article, from a discursive perspective, on a corpus of dictionares.
The authors discuss the construction, in Brazil, of the synonymy between these words, the second one specializing as a (morphologically irregular) of the first. They also discuss the determination - of the semantics of "Brazilian" by these two words.
