Abstract

This article presents the analysis of four Brazilian grammars of Portuguese which follow a traditional current, published in the 1970's. The aim is to understand the polítical division of language and its representation in the textualization of grammar. The author shows that the enunciative complexity of grammar gives it an objective configuration which allows presenting it as a fact, contributing thus to the ideológical efficacy of the consensus in grammar discourse.
