Abstract
This is the first of the sequênce of two texts Carel and Ducrot published here, in which these authors present some basic concepts of the Semantics of Argumemtative Blocs, proposed as a New version of the theory of Argumentation in Language (AIL), of Anscombre and Ducrot. In the first text, starting from a discussion paradox as a question for a linguistic semantics. Carel and Ducrot take as the center of their analysis the discourses in so and hoje however to demonstrate the conception according to which the argumentative character of an enchainment is defined by the interdependence between its two segments. This new proposal lets go of the notion of, topos amd introduces the concepts of semantic bloc, transgressive and contextual argumentation, structural and contextual argumentative liason and of linguistically doxal and paradoxal enchaiment (utterance, word).
