Abstract
Through the analysis of the negative of paradoxal words and enchainments, (such as defined in the proceding article), Carel and Ducrot shows in this article the specificity of paradoxal discourses. Firstly, the notions of conversion and opposition, as well as those of discursive paradoxal words and paradoxicide negation are introduced. Secondly, the formal properties of negation are discussed and transformational test with conectivos if and even if in interrogative enchainments are held. Complex enchainments with the expressions surely and in spite of are also analysed.
