Who are we?

Abstract

The volume entitled Os discursos do descobrimento (The discovery speeches), organized by the linguist Diana Luz Pessoa de Barros, inaugurates a form of descriptive performance that should be commonplace in the field of linguistic and semiotic studies: in view of an important event that has motivated an intense discursive production, nothing is more expected than the manifestation of specialists on the versions and interpretations of the event mentioned in the texts, be they verbal or non-verbal.
