Abstract

Annotated translation of: Bréal, Michel. Michel Bréal, in a text published in 1891, which is now translated, analyzed the origin of the Latin terms 'ius', 'lex' and 'fas', words that express different nuances of the ideas of "law" and "right" (divine and human), from a historical and comparative approach with the other Indo-European languages.
