Abstract
The book Eu, Tu, Ele by Eni Orlandi presents theories based on Discourse Analysis situated on a series of current and historical themes, constitutive of our social formation. The author presents analyses, conducted by a guiding thread centered on otherness, on the construction of social/historical relations through narrativity, seen and elaborated discursively. Orlandi discusses discursive processes in the intertwining between subject-body-space to analyze the production of meanings in urban space. The author also addresses the functioning of language in the (re)constitution of identities and in the configuration of stereotypes and prejudices about marginalized social groups. The book presents deep reflections on the relationship between language, meaning and the world, highlighting the importance of theory for understanding social relations and the processes of interpretation in society. The book, even in its broad thematic and analytical opening, maintains a consistent thread, providing analyzes with theoretical and critical rigor, in addition to discussing the current state of theory and analytical practice.
