Abstract
The rise of a hybrid domain is the vehicle for solving extremely complex social problems that require innovative solutions. It is a dimension in which the state, the market and third sector organizations converge. The book "The rise of the hybrid domain. Collaborative governance for social innovation" written by Yuko Aoyama with Balaji Parthasarathy is supported by an extensive review of the existing literature and a thorough and extensive field work in India. The results are original and provide new points of view on the vast field of social innovation.
