Resumen
El presente trabajo forma parte de los resultados de una investigación que indaga cómo sannyasins brasileños del gurú indio Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, Osho, se apropian de los referentes de su legado que orientan la religiosidad. A través de la investigación documental en la OSHO Online Library y investigación bibliográfica, el artículo trata de la figura de Rajneesh/Osho y su definición de neossannyasin. Después, en la aprehensión de entrevistas en profundidad, discute la comprensión de los sannyasins sobre el cuerpo; la forma en que relacionan materialismo y espiritualismo; cómo entienden la sexualidade, el sexo y la designación de Osho como “gurú del sexo”; y los significados espirituales que identifican en la sexualidad y el sexo. Las demandas, motivaciones y usos que los sannyasins hacen de la religiosidad promovida por Osho expresan las tendencias individualizadoras, reflexivistas y la priorización de la experiencia sobre las ideas propias de grupos vinculados al movimiento nueva era.
