Resumo
Este artigo aborda, a partir da Antropologia do Cristianismo, como a relação dos pentecostais com o tempo pode inspirar sua forma de presença na esfera pública brasileira. Através do processo de conversão, os fiéis apreendem modos específicos de estruturar o tempo, dentre eles, a temporalidade profética, foco deste artigo. Esse enquadramento temporal gera sensibilidades disciplinadas que excedem a vida dos fiéis, estimulando o modo de incidência pública do pentecostalismo como instituição. Para dar conta do que quero mostrar, trarei dados referentes a dois eventos liderados por Silas Malafaia, um dos principais líderes evangélicos do Brasil. Irei me deter principalmente no Ato Profético em favor do Brasil, acontecido em 2016 no contexto do afastamento da presidente Dilma Rousseff, e no culto em que Malafaia recebe em sua igreja o então recém-eleito presidente, Jair Bolsonaro. O contexto das profecias declaradas por Malafaia em ambos os eventos será o principal alvo do estudo.
