Abstract

The journal Economia e Sociedade, from the Institute of Economics at the University of Campinas (IE/Unicamp), was founded in 1992. Since then, it has established itself as a scientific journal of reference in the field of economics, striving for academic excellence and promoting wide circulation and high social impact of the work published. The aim of the journal, since its foundation, has been to contribute to the development of critical reflection on topics of broad interest in the areas of economic theory, applied economics, the history of economic thought and economic history, welcoming heterodox production inspired above all by the traditions of Marx, Keynes, Kalecki and Schumpeter, as well as Latin American reflection on economic development.
