Esta pesquisa descreve a formação de pronomes indeterminados em Shawi. Esse tipo de pronome pode ter sentidos interrogativos, indefinidos e relativos, que são distinguidos apenas com uma classe de clíticos, por exemplo ma '= ta (o que, o que), ma' = sha (alguma coisa), ma = nta (nada). O primeiro pode ser modificado ainda mais para ma'ta = ka (que retórico) e ma '= tana (qualquer que seja). Como em outras línguas, esse tipo de pronominal pode ser classificado em um paradigma no qual cada membro representa um conceito geral de pessoa (quem), coisa (o que), lugar (onde), tempo (quando), maneira (como), etc. A comparação desses elementos demonstra uma estrutura interna mais extensa. Portanto, os pronomes indeterminados em Shawi são analisados e discute-se também sobre os clíticos que podem modificar sua interpretação.
