Dossier - Language policies for Portuguese as an additional language : globalization, ideologies and tensions

Abstract

Entitled “Linguistic policies for Portuguese as an Additional Language: globalization, ideologies and tensions”, the present dossier of the Languages and Linguistic Instruments Magazine focuses on some scenarios crossed by the (dis) paths of globalization, which (re) produces tensions between languages and their speakers. To this end, from different theoretical perspectives, this set of texts seeks to make specifically visible aspects of the socio-historical functioning of these policies - less or more explicit -, shedding light on ideological processes that support them and, at the same time, opening up possibilities ruptures and displacements.
