Abstract
This article will deal with Heritage Education carried out within the scope of the archaeological site rescue project SAPH Evangelista, SAPH Igrejinha, SA Ribeirao do Elvas,
SAH Conjunto de canais históricos. The actions were carried out at the Francisco Antônio Pires State School, in Barroso, and Aquino Carlos Municipal School, community of
Pitangueiras - Prados, both in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The first institution was chosen because the headquarters of the company responsible for the project were located in that municipality, while the second was due to the proximity to the archaeological sites, less than 1km. The vicinality of the archaeological sites allowed a range of Heritage Education actions, such as: lectures for students, teachers and community; archaeological excavation workshop; rock art workshop; and visit to the archaeological site SAPH Igrejinha. Thus, we present the results of the actions carried out and the proximity created between students, community and cultural heritage.
