Abstract

In such difficult times it is crucial to find spaces that allow life to pulsate. The term coming from psychoanalysis is generic, we know, controversial, for sure, but there is something about it that can beckon us for the present and for the future. Amid so many speeches of hatred, death and misery, we must find some sense for tomorrow. These meanings are both in guaranteeing our basic rights, such as education, health, food, decent housing, among others foreseen in our Constitution of 1988, but they can also be invented in our research, in our classrooms, in the arts, in the share common sense with a community, among countless other possibilities. The drive for life can be fueled by our desire to build the present and the better future (and for us, the authors of this Editorial, the best means fairer, more egalitarian and inclusive for all).
